JSID Award

The JSID bestows the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology Award (JSID Award) to enhance the motivation of junior researchers.

Eligibility (Qualifications)

Awarded to the most notable researcher in Japan during the last 5 years, who meets the following conditions.

  1. A member of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (for 5 years or more)
  2. Professors, or those holding an equivalent position at the time of application deadline shall be excluded.
  3. The award winner shall give a plenary lecture at the 49th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology.
  4. Under age 50 as of 31 March 2024.

Application

  1. Nominees recommended by a current member of the Board of Directors and a former member of the Board of Directors (Ages 60 and below in case of a former member of the Board of Directors).
    Each current or former member of the Board of Directors shall make one nomination.
    (The Committee on Scientific Activities shall be able to independently raise additional nominees.)
  2. Self-recommendations are available. Applicants shall submit their CV by e-mail to the JSID office (e-mail: office2@jsid.org) by June 1 2024.
  3. Each nominee shall submit their research achievements (papers and a list of their JSID academic conference presentations) to the Committee on Scientific Activities.

Selection method

  1. The Committee on Scientific Activities shall recommend a limited number of nominees at a meeting of the Board of Directors, considering the nominees' academic achievements.
  2. One finalist shall be selected by vote of the Board of Directors.
